Planted Aquarium Journals

In this section you will find my personal journals of planted aquariums, personal accounts of events, and inteviews with people I have met in our hobby. I have been fortunate to attend many events in our wonderful aquarium hobby. In doing so, I get have met wonderful people and visited wonderful places. Along the way I do my best to document events as I experience them.

		AquaFest 2009 This year, AquaFest was held in Laurel, Maryland. AquaFest is a collaboration between PVAS, GWAPA, and CCA. This was my first time attending AquaFest and I was also going to be speaking at the event.
		Aquatic Gardeners Association Convention 2008 I had the privilege to attend the 2008 Aquatic Gardeners Association Convention on November 14-6, 2008. Planted aquarium enthusiasts came from around the world to attend the convention. Here is a brief account of the amazing weekend.
		Houston Plant Fest 2009 In April, 2009 NASH (Nature Aquarium Society of Houston) arranged a collection trip to San Marcos River, San Marcos, Texas. The weekend was filled with inspiration, food, and great company!
		Interview with Aquagora - Le Bac De L'hiver 2007-8 In Febraury, Kookaburra from Aquagora, a French Planted Aquarium forum, conducted an interview with me on my "Waiting" layout. The interview was conducted in English, but has been translated to French for their forum.
		Kirsten Eidsmoe - ADA Aquajournal #159 - Aquascaper in Focus The 2008 AGA Convention in Atlanta, Georgia was a whirlwind of an event. Of all the stories I have told from that weekend, the one of Kirsten Eidsmoe is one of my favorites.
		Marine & Aquarium Conference of North America - 2009 This year, the Marine & Aquarium Conference of North America was held in Atlantic City, NJ. While I am not a practicing "reefer," it was close enough that I could not pass up the opportunity to meet some new people and experience more of the reef aquarium community.
		Takashi Amano - Aquascaper in Focus I was finally able to meet with Takashi Amano at the AGA Convention in Atlanta, Georgia. The following pictures are an account of my experiences with Mr. Amano.
