12/31/2009 - AquaFest 2009 - This year, AquaFest was held in Laurel, Maryland. AquaFest is a collaboration between PVAS, GWAPA, and CCA. This was my first time attending AquaFest and I was also going to be speaking at the event. Check out pictures and a journal of the event!
12/31/2009 - Planted Aquarium Photography Workshop - BCAS - I will be giving a talk on planted aquarium photography at the BCAS in Churchville, PA. About Project Aquarium
Project Aquarium is an aquarium portal mostly encompassing planted aquariums, aquarium plants, and aquascaping. I am a planted aquarium enthusiast striving to advance the art of aquatic gardening by sharing my experiences, knowledge, and devotion to the planted aquarium hobby. Project Aquarium is intended to be an educational, honest, and practical source for planted aquarium information.
I have been an avid aquarist since 1980, starting with a 10 gallon aquarium and blue gravel. Since that time, I have worked with salt water aquariums, fresh water aquariums, and planted aquariums. Within the last 4 years, I have focused primarily on planted aquariums. In the last year I have had the pleasure to give workshops on planted aquariums to local clubs and local fish stores. I enjoy talking with people to share and gain knowledge. We have such a challenging hobby and I have certainly made plenty of mistakes. I hope to share with you my honest opinions and my experiences as I have experienced them.
